The Bramshott and Liphook Heritage Society (formerly the Bramshott and Liphook Preservation Society) aims and objects are:
To act as an overseeing body and provide the remit for the Heritage Centre which operates on behalf of the Bramshott and Liphook Heritage Society.
The remit of the Heritage Centre seeks the following objectives.
- To provide access to the Laurence Giles Archive of local history and other such documentation and artifacts as deemed to be of public interest and benefit, and to make these accessible to the public at the Heritage Centre.
- To inform and to give advice to the public on the history and geography of the local area.
- To collate information in relation to any place, erection or building of aesthetic or historic interest within the area of benefit.
- To promote research into subjects directly connected with the objects and records of the Society and where there is sufficient interest to publish the results of any such research.
- To publish booklets, papers, reports, and other literature
The Bramshott and Liphook Heritage Society seeks in conjunction with the Heritage Centre to provide the following additional aims.
- To raise funds by way of Membership subscriptions, grants, and donations to sustain the activities of the Society.
- To hold meetings, lectures, and exhibitions.
- Where possible act as a co-ordinating body for all statutory authorities, voluntary organisations, charities, and persons having aims similar to those of the Society.
- To promote the history, natural history, architecture, and geography of the local area.
- Where possible assist the Planning Authorities and Councils to achieve high standards of design in matters affecting the local area and to encourage sensitive enhancements to the Conservation area.
